Story
There isn’t much to press upon in this area. When you start Free Fire MAX, you create your male or female Avatar and jump right into the action: competing against other players for fame, fortune, and a chance to have your character at the top of the leaderboard. As you level up your account, you gain access to other characters; each with their own unique unlocks and skills. It’s a never ending grind to the top and the only ones who make it are the ones who push it to the MAX!
Gameplay & Mechanics
Garena is no stranger to mobile shooters. Back in 2019 a tiny little company known as Activision turned to Garena when they decided to create Call of Duty: Mobile. While both games play very similarly, Garena invested more of their own personality into Free Fire. The game plays like most well-polished mobile arena shooters, so if you’ve picked one up before, you will be very comfortable with Free Fire MAX. What sets this game apart are the different characters you can unlock: each with their own unique skill that you can strengthen in order to give yourself an edge in combat. On top of that, you can also unlock additional skill slots so that you can equip the ability of other characters and use them all on the same person.
Aesthetics & Sound
This is where Free Fire MAX sets itself apart from other mobile games of its size and style. Garena put a lot of time and effort into making this update graphically stunning. Aside from the awesome costumes and cosmetics getting an extra few layers of details, we’ve got newly textured weapons, landscapes, and an overall facelift to make Free Fire MAX the beauty that it was meant to be. Push your phone battery to the Max with new Ultra settings all while enjoying a revamped soundtrack to get you ready for some fancy gunplay.
Summary
I enjoyed my time with Free Fire MAX. I went into the game thinking it was just another knockoff battle royale shooter game, but the more I played the more I realized the quality of this title. There are plenty of customizable settings to help you get an edge on the competition. It’s time to take it to the MAX! Free Fire MAX!
