Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be released on October 21, 2025, according to a statement made by developer The Chinese Room and co-publishers Paradox Interactive and White Wolf at gamescom Opening Night Live. Additionally, they revealed that players would be able to experience portions of the game’s plot as Phyre’s voice and the enigmatic Malkvian detective Fabien. The Kindred work together to solve a neo-noir murder mystery that could change the vampire society of contemporary Seattle.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 features two alternate playable characters—Malkavian investigator Fabien and Elder vampire Phyre—and will allow two players to explore the game’s plot. Following centuries of torpor, a profound condition of vampire hibernation, Phyre awakens in contemporary Seattle with Fabien’s voice echoing in their mind and a mystery mark that has locked away their Elder skills. In the role of Phyre, players encounter the Kindred vampires who rule the city, each with their own agendas, and discover the sinister mysteries of Seattle while regaining their lost vampire abilities.
Dreams and voices from Fabien’s past take hold while Phyre sleeps in between nights. Players take on the role of Fabien, who enters a neo-noir Seattle in the 1920s and uses his Malkavian powers to solve his murder. The case is difficult to solve because of Fabien’s distorted sense of reality, which is a result of his Malkavian ancestry and makes it hard to tell fact from imagination.
The cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines (2004) was followed by Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Bloodlines 2 immerses players in the seedy underworld of Seattle, where vampires fight for dominance and survival. While juggling their desire for mortal blood, players must negotiate intricate political relationships, stalk the city streets for prey, engage in fierce battle, and encounter interesting people.
The four clans in the main game—the disobedient Brujah, the bloodsorcery masters Tremere, the justice-driven Banu Haqim, and the seductive Ventrue—each have unique playstyles, attire, and Disciplines. The Masquerade, the strict law of secrecy that keeps vampire society secret from humans, requires players to be aware of their surroundings at all times or risk breaking it.
