HARDSPACE: Shipbreaker Releases New Developer Gameplay Video

Blackbird Interactive and Focus Home Interactive’s sandbox spaceship salvaging game, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, launches into Steam Early Access on June 16. Today, dive into the latest developer diary, which takes a deeper look at the gameplay that makes Hardspace: Shipbreaker truly unique. Equipped with cutting-edge salvaging tech to slice up giant spaceships for valuable materials, you’ll become a calculating zero-g surgeon, discovering what makes each massive vessel tick and coming up with your own strategies to get the job done.

In the latest video seen above, titled “The Breakdown,” Blackbird explores the upgradeable tools, procedurally generated ships, and intricate systems you’ll find in Hardspace: Shipbreaker. With its next-generation physics simulation, the game lets you cut and destroy creatively at will, tactfully carving into ships while avoiding the increasingly explosive mess you’re making. There’s never just one way to dismantle these vessels, opening up endless emergent gameplay possibilities where you change your approach as you see fit. Unlock perks, add-ons, and upgrades to take on harder contracts in an attempt to pay off your monumental debt to the very company that hired you!

Hardspace: Shipbreaker launches in Steam Early Access on June 16, 2020, and is available to wishlist now. The game is also in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
