Hubris is a VR game published and developed by Cyborn. Hubris is a Sci Fi Shooter game, which brings the First Person Shooter genre in Virtual Reality format.
Hubris is set on a different planet where players are sent to find out another agent that has gone missing. Hubris is a visually stunning game to play in VR and provides some amazing world designs that will definitely impress a lot of players. On entering the planet, there are things that have gone terribly wrong and some other faction has taken over, and players have to adapt and learn to survive as well as complete the mission.
Gameplay is fun and very innovative which includes a fast-paced action shooter. The many mechanics of picking up items and upgrades has been done brilliantly. There are parts which are also available, such as platforming, where the player jumps and grabs a ledge to climb up, and on top of that also involves swimming, which makes the player use actual hand movements to traverse through the water.
During combat, players have to utilize all the covers conveniently and utilize the available resources. There are only a few other worldly organisms that you fight, mostly players will encounter other faction enemies that are trying to kill you. The only problem is AI is not that great, but the mechanics make it fun.
Overall, Hubris is graphically amazing and provides a Virtual Reality world come to life. Gameplay is amazing, though sometimes it gets tedious. The only thing that holds back the game is the story telling part. But no matter, for VR players, this is a must play and will provide some fun experiences to the players. I will give Hubris 7 out of 10.
