Easy Trigger’s highly-rated, red hot love letter to the 80s, Huntdown, has revealed a physical launch packed with an exclusive action figure, synth cassette tapes, artwork and much more!
Developer Easy Trigger Games and publisher Coffee Stain Publishing have teamed up with publisher Clear River Games, and announcing the details of Huntdown’s physical Collector’s Edition launch at Limited Run Games #LRG3.
Huntdown has seen meteoric success since its launch in 2020, expanding its reach over PC, consoles (Check Out Our Nintendo Switch Review!), and most recently mobile. With a rating of 85 on Metacritic, and nominations for both SXSW and DreamHack awards, the game has become a cult classic.
Published by Clear River Games, and available exclusively through Limited Run Games, Huntdown’s all new upcoming Collector’s Edition comes packed in a fittingly Retro PC case, filled to the brim with exclusive content. This includes a limited-edition John Sawyer action figure, the synth-pumping soundtrack on cassette tape, four authentic gang cloth patches, a gorgeous 56-page art book, a huge, double-sided poster, an instruction booklet and three button pins. Following this release, a regular retail version of the game will be hitting the shelves later this year for purchase on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, featuring the instruction booklet and three button pins from the Collector’s Edition.
Huntdown takes the old school arcade shooter genre to the modern era, with players battling through a dystopian, cyberpunk future as one of three unique bounty hunters. With both Story and Arcade modes to tackle, players pump lead and thousands of one-liners into criminals alone or in pairs, as they traverse the beautifully hand painted 16-bit pixel art backdrop.
Pre-orders for the Huntdown Collector’s Edition are now live on Limited Run Games for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Huntdown is also out now digitally on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and Mobile.
