MavsGG will battle Blazer5 Gaming in round one of the playoffs with a prize pool of $920,000
DALLAS, TX – Mavs Gaming, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, will play in the 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs Delivered by DoorDash starting today. Sitting in the seventh seed, Mavs Gaming will play the tenth seed team, Blazer5 Gaming, at 2:30 p.m. PT / 4:30 p.m. CST in round one of the playoffs. This will be the team’s second playoff appearance in three seasons.
“Like we’ve been saying all year, we have something to prove,” said Mavs Gaming Head Coach LT Fairley. “We’re ready.”
The 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs Delivered by DoorDash will be held from today, Thursday, August 20, to Saturday, August 22, leading up to the 2020 NBA 2K League Finals Delivered by DoorDash held the following weekend. There is a total prize pool of $920,000 and $420,000 of that will go to the NBA 2K League champions. The remainder of the cash will be distributed to the other teams that qualified for the playoffs this year. Second place will receive $150,000, third and fourth place will receive $75,000, fifth through eighth place will receive $35,000 and ninth and tenth place will receive $30,000.
Mavs Gaming will take on Blazer5 Gaming in a best-of-three format. A watch party will be hosted by Mavs Gaming for anyone to attend on Discord.
