Microsoft has announced that the new Surface Pro 2 will launch October 22 and will come with Windows 8.1.
Microsoft’s Vice President of Surface, Panos Panay, stated that thanks to its Intel’s Core i5 Haswell processor, the device is 95% faster than current laptops and that it has an increased battery life of 60%.
Surface Pro 2 has a new kickstand that offers greater freedom of orientation, and it comes with a 1080p display.
Panay said,
“This is power. The Surface Pro 2 delivers the full power of a PC in a tablet form factor.”
The Surface Pro 2 starts at $899 all the way through $1,799. It comes in a 4GB RAM edition with either 64 or 128GB of storage, and an 8GB RAM model with either 256 or 512GB of storage.
You can order one starting tomorrow ahead of its release date.
