Nintendo President Iwata Re-Elected

The Nintendo Board of Directors has re-elected Satoru Iwata for President at the company’s Annual Shareholder’s Meeting.

Even though Iwata did not attend the meeting personally, due to his surgery recovery, he is still trusted to lead Nintendo out of its slump, especially with the news that Mario Kart 8 has already sold over 2 million copies.

Of note, beginning in 2011, Iwata’s approval rating was at a high 92.9%, but slipped to 77.3% last year. Once we hear what his approval rating is right now, we’ll post it for you.
