Thekla, Inc. and Arc Games, a top publisher of AA and independent games, are thrilled to announce that Order of the Sinking Star, the eagerly awaited, massive puzzle adventure directed by renowned, award-winning game designer Jonathan Blow, will have a playable demo on Steam for a brief period of time from June 15–22 as part of Steam Next Fest: June Edition.

Order of the Sinking Star immerses you in a vast universe full of interrelated puzzles and mysteries just waiting to be discovered. It was created for gamers who love atmospheric exploration and creative puzzles. A significant portion of the game will be available in the Steam Next Fest demo, which should be challenging, unexpected, and even inspire speculations about the game’s main mystery. There are rumors that the demo’s initial release will only be the start; further information will be disclosed when the time comes!
Jonathan Blow, Founder of Thekla, Inc. and award-winning game designer behind Braid and The Witness, stated, “This huge game has been the most ambitious project of my career. The demo will give a taste of the full game, offering players a sense of its scale and depth of design. After working on this thing for 10 years, I am very happy that players can finally try it out.”
Order of the Sinking Star’s Steam Next Fest demo will be accessible worldwide from Monday, June 15 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time until Monday, June 22 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Join Order of the Sinking Star’s official Discord channel if you want to talk with the development team and other players or offer demo comments.
Game designer Jonathan Blow will do a demo livestream on his Twitch channel later today, June 10 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, to provide a preview of the demo and provide additional information about it prior to Steam Next Fest. Following the broadcast, Order of the Sinking Star’s channels, including YouTube and Steam, will share it as a VOD.
