PAX Australia 2017 Keynote Revealed

Rooster Teeth’s Burnie Burns to Provide PAX Australia 2017 Keynote

MELBOURNE – May 2, 2017 – Pull up a chair and get comfy as Rooster Teeth co-founder and Red vs. Blue creator Burnie Burns delivers the ‘Storytime’ opening keynote at PAX Australia 2017, taking place October 27-29 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Chief Creative Officer of Rooster Teeth Productions, Burnie’s body of work also includes 2015 sci-fi comedy Lazer Team, The Sims parody series The Strangerhood, and anime-influenced web series RWBY. For these and his numerous other projects, Burns, named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top 25 Digital Stars” in 2015, has garnered multiple award nominations from The Webby Awards and International Academy of Web Television.

Tickets for PAX Australia 2017 are currently on sale via the official registration page. Friday Only, Saturday Only and Sunday Only passes cost $65 AUD, while Three Day Passes and International Three Day passes are available for $165 AUD. Attendees wishing to bring their own computer can purchase a BYOC pass for an additional $45 AUD. Early bird tickets are available through 30 June for $5 AUD off standard ticket prices.

PAX Australia 2017 Keynote Revealed

The PAX series of shows – West, East, South and Australia – produced by ReedPOP in conjunction with Penny Arcade, comprise some of the world’s largest gaming festivals, with each event entertaining tens of thousands of guests. PAX events connect leading video game and tabletop developers directly to passionate audiences, providing a space where gaming culture is celebrated through panels, demos, concerts, tournaments and freeplay sessions.

Game developers wishing to exhibit at PAX Australia 2017 can email the sales team. Working journalists as well as YouTube and Twitch content creators interested in attending PAX Australia to create coverage of the event may begin to register for a media pass in July 2017.
