Ion Maiden felt like going back to 90’s all over again; An old school shooter with the feel of Duke Nukem 3D. While we were at the PAX East 2019 booth, we tried our hands on the game, which is developed by VoidPoint and published by 3D Realm studios.
Ion Maiden is pretty much straight up shooter, which does not need an explanation. We started playing by killing anything that moves and kept exploring the levels, equipping different kind of weapons for more fire power. The things that I liked especially are the graphics of the game, the way the pixel graphics are incorporated with today’s graphics power, and a smooth gameplay experience it created.
Ion Maiden is available on PC via Steam Early Access right now, while consoles and the full PC release are coming in 2019.
