Killer Queen Black is a team-based competitive game for up to 8 players, developed by Liquid Bit and BumbleBear Games. Killer Queen Black is another game in the series of Killer Queen.
Killer Queen Black may definitely looks simple at first, but in fact, it is a very complex and competitive game! We visited the Discord booth at PAX East 2019 to try out the game. Killer Queen Black has two teams of four players each and one player in each team is the Queen Bee while the other three players are normal soldiers. There are three ways to win the round – one is through a military victory where the Queen dies three times. The second way is through an economic victory, where you collect the bees and stock them in the team’s hive. And the third way is through the Snail victory, where one of the Drones rides the snail holding a berry in hand and dragging it toward the team flag. If any one of those conditions gets fulfilled first, the team wins. Drones can get weapons and become super soldiers if you go through the Transformation gates holding berries in hand. You can also provide different skills to the Drones.
Killer Queen Black is extremely fun and unpredictable, as anything can happen throughout the game. You might think you are going to win, but you might end up losing the whole game.
Killer Queen Black is going to be launched for Windows PC/Mac via Steam, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year in 2019.
