In honor of ten years of XR and innovative game creation, Petricore has unveiled the specifics of Mythic Realms, a mixed-reality roguelite fantasy roleplaying game (RPG) that will go live on Meta Quest later this year and is currently available for pre-order. Petricore unveiled new gameplay during today’s XR Indies & Friends Games Showcase, demonstrating how Mythic Realms turns your physical space into a fantastical adventure where reality seamlessly melds with immersive caves and forests full of amazing creatures that can climb on your furniture and emerge from your walls! Venture on an expedition throughout a vanished realm, engaging in combat with extraterrestrial adversaries, all brought to life by means of the Meta Quest headgear.
As you physically reenact an RPG adventure in Mythic Realms, you’ll experience what it’s like to be a hero like never before. You’ll confront new situations, engage in fierce combat, acquire resources, and develop your character with each playthrough. Since every expedition is different, players can decide how to interact with the experience in real time. Finding the answer to the enigma of the clash of two worlds and assisting the kingdom in realizing its full potential will require every bit of cunning, talent, and effort.

- Enemy Variety & Epic Room-Scale Boss Fights: In your room, battle against adversaries designed for mixed reality that may hide behind your walls and climb on furniture. When you reach the end of an expedition, you’ll come across huge boss battles that take over your room and really test your abilities! Think of it like a fierce dragon that lands on your walls and shoots fire into your chamber!
- Class & Weapon Variety: Use nine different weapons, including bows, staves, swords, claws, shuriken, wands, and more, while taking on the roles of a knight, ranger, or magician. As you upgrade them on your adventures, new capabilities become available.
