As part of the Halloween update for their MMO mobile game, Pixel Worlds, developers at Kukouri will dress up to trick AND treat their players live in-game starting now until November 22nd. Additionally, the Halloween update introduces completely new game mechanics and close to a hundred new items, pets, blueprints and more. So don’t hesitate to play Pixel Worlds now to get some special treats from the devs – and watch out for the tricks!
“This is, actually, not the first time we’ve done this. Last Christmas the Kukouri team were running around in-game as Santa Claus and Krampus, giving players gifts and spreading Christmas spirit. Then during Valentine’s day we took turns playing the character of Mr. Valentine, who hosted special giveaways several times a day”, said Kukouri CEO Kim Soares.
Kukouri has put a huge emphasis on the community and social aspects of Pixel Worlds. For many players the biggest motivation in logging in several times a day are the friends they have in the game. Social media also plays an integral role in Pixel Worlds, as 25% of the overall experience comes from different social media channels outside the game itself.
Going all out with social media integration into the game experience, the Pixel Worlds developers do weekly streams on Youtube, Twitch and Mobcrush, as well as promoting user and influencer videos in-game as a part of their Influencer Program. Pixel Worlds has it’s own Youtube channel with over a million views and the game’s official Instagram account has been growing 20% weekly compared to the average growth rate of 6-8% of Instagram accounts.
