Daybreak Games has announced that PlanetSide Arena will now launch on March 26, 2019. Along with our new date announcement, they have also introduced an exclusive Founders Season to get the most dedicated fans in before launch.
CLOSED BETA UPDATE
The first Closed Beta for PlanetSide Arena will begin next week on Wednesday, January 30! The solo battle royale mode will be the focus of the first Closed Beta, and Daybreak Games will expand to include additional modes in future Betas.
Closed Beta will give the developers invaluable information and insight into how the systems, servers, databases, and backend infrastructure work together. But more importantly, it’s also a crucial touchpoint for your feedback, so they can learn just how fun and satisfying the core gameplay experience is for all of you. This first Beta will push the hardware and new server infrastructure to new limits which are sure to run into issues – lag, bugs, other performance hiccups – so please bear with them. The systems and servers are built to accommodate a massive number of players, and putting them through their paces is necessary so Daybreak can net the information they need to deliver a quality game that performs smoothly at launch.
