***ACCESS GRANTED. TELEPORTING…***
WHOA! Where am I? Am I, on a spaceship? What game is this? <looks at the title> Oh… Okay then… I better read up on the people behind this game to get a little understanding of what I had suddenly been teleported into.

Ok, so I managed to obtain information about the people behind Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets. So, the game was developed and published by a studio called BeautiFun Games. They are an Indie Game Studio created in 2011. So far, they have three games published, one of them being this game, one other being a top-seller called Nihilumbra, and the other called MegaMagic: Wizards of The Neon Age. That’s all the information I could retrieve from their steam page.
Professor Lupo and His Horrible Pets is a point-and-click, frantic puzzle-adventure game. In this adventure, you play the role of an Intern for the notorious Professor Lupo, a mad space scientist who traveled throughout the galaxies in the Aurora space station, searching for the most exotic and impressive aliens. He dubs them as his “horrible pets”. When you first see the alien creatures, they seem harmless and rather cute. However, if you get within sight or proximity of any of them, they turn into aggressive lethal monsters!
This game features along with its Puzzle-Adventure aspect a story-driven narrative, which will be told soon. The gameplay requires you, the player, to learn the behavioral patterns of the aliens to outwit and maneuver yourself out of their way. Additionally, there are over 100 replayable levels, leading up to almost an entire day’s worth of playing!
Now that’s all said, time for my experiences with this game.

Starting up the game, I was met with a beautiful view of space and lovely retro graphics for the selection menu. After a little bit, a robot comes in, and announces that Professor Lupo would be showcasing his horrible pets! After looking around the menu, I began the game to become what it calls, “THE MOST EPIC INTERN OF ALL TIMES!” I was met with a little movie and got introduced to Professor Lupo. He is showcasing his Horrible Pets for an audience, for some auction. To my horror, it became apparent that the audience is actually comprised of warlords and tyrants of Earth! Professor Lupo had collected the aliens to be their weapons of mass destruction!
That’s when Professor Lupo calls the Intern, in. He enters from an elevator and I was met with a neat little tutorial about how the point-and-click puzzle game works. (The point-and-click aspect is the Intern going wherever the player clicks)
I was still horrified by the prospect that these lethal aliens were going to be used for an evil purpose. Fortunately, right when the bidding had started, there’s a missile alert. Ballistic Missiles had been launched at the Aurora Space Station, which is great news for humanity but not great news for the Intern.
After that happened, the alien creatures breach containment and the journey begins for the Intern to escape the Aurora Space Station. Playing through the first few levels, I had lots of fun helping the Intern escape the aliens by activating doors through computers to open or close them, to block off the aliens and whatnot. I also noticed that there were tasks to do, most likely for an achievement. I also noticed there are collectibles, which adds the replayability to the game. Though, collecting them is a hassle, as I found myself dying a few times trying to obtain them.
Welp, fortunately for me, I can escape this facility the way I came in. Professor Lupo and His Horrible Pets is a wonderful puzzle-adventure game for anyone and everyone! Worth every cent!! See you all in the next game universe!

Steam Review
I'm the kind of guy who LOVES games with rich storytelling elements, but still finds enjoyment in the other games that don't have those. I am always intrigued by how new and upcoming game developers either bring something new to the table or take something existing and bring an exhilarating twist to it.
