Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said in a financials call today that Assassin’s Creed Comet will be coming soon.
In accordance with leaked information, Assassin’s Creed Comet will allow players to sail up and down the Atlantic coast in control of a Templar sailor.
The main protagonist of the game is allegedly a templar named Shay. In his travels he’ll run into Connor Kenway’s first-mate-turned-Assassin Adewale and Kenway’s son Haytham, among other fictional and historical figures.
In addition, the sources described the Xbox 360 and PS3 game as a cross between Assassin’s Creed III and the Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Players will be able to visit New York City among other east coast destinations.
Assassin’s Creed Comet is rumored for a late 2014 release alongside the new-gen-only Assassin’s Creed Unity.
