Today, Amazon MGM Studios and IO Interactive, the award-winning publisher and creator of the highly regarded HITMAN series, unveiled 007 First Light, a narrative-driven action-adventure game that tells the standalone original, reimagined origin tale of a young James Bond. Arriving in 2026, 007 First Light will be accessible on PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5.
The enthusiastic development team at IO Interactive has produced this singular, stand-alone original story. Players will take on the role of a teenage Bond in 007 First Light, a promising but disobedient air crewman who joins MI6. He enters the agency’s demanding training program for the formerly admired and recently revived elite 00 section thanks to his keen instincts and valor in battle.

Fans will be immersed in the exotic and perilous world of espionage depicted in the movie as they witness Bond’s transformation at MI6 from a youthful 26-year-old recruit to a full-fledged agent for the first time. In Bond’s adventures, players will travel the world and encounter both allies and enemies—or sometimes both—while deciding whether to use force, sly cunning, or endearing wit to get past barriers and challenges.

The third-person action-adventure game 007 First Light combines the worlds of Bond and MI6 with the action and stealth gameplay elements that IO Interactive is known for. In his quest to become 007, players will decide how to use Bond’s special combination of relationship and fighting talents as well as the newest Q technology. They will encounter well-known figures like M, Q, and Moneypenny along the road, as well as brand-new antagonists like the enigmatic Isola and Bond’s mentor John Greenway.
007 First Light is available to wishlist now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store and Amazon.com.
