Everyone could do with a little extra gold on their quest to conquer World of Warcraft, are we right? Sure we are! That’s just what our guide is here to help you out with, there are several spots in the current game that are fantastic for farming gold, and we’re here to share our knowledge of those locations.

If you’re new to one of Blizzard’s most successful titles ever, then its good to know that gold is required to craft reagents, carry out repairs, and purchase various items that help your player progress.

Staying ahead of the competition can become pricey, meaning your gold reserves should be stocked to accommodate. Not all players have a tonne of hours to spend on the game, so we’ve included some methods that have low entry barriers to help you make large sums of gold in small amounts of time. This guide is here to help you get started.

Isle of Watchers – Legion location

First up is a lesser-known WoW gold farming location, which can be found in Southern Azsuna. You can expect to make around 4000 to 5000 gold by killing monsters in a short time period. There are short respawn times for the mobs, so you won’t need to wait around to top up your gold reserves. There will be some greens dropped by the mobs that you can either disenchant or vendor for some extra gold because the auction house doesn’t offer the greatest returns. It’s pretty quiet in this location so you won’t bump into many other players farming gold too.

Isle of Thunder – Legion location

Next up is another World of Warcraft gold farming location, and this one can be found near the Kun-Lai Summit (to the northwest of it to be exact). Make your way towards the middle of the island near Diremoor to start taking down mobs. Mote of harmony and Windwool Cloth often drop by these mobs, which sell for a tasty fortune at the auction house. Among the drops occasionally are rarer items too, which can fetch a pretty penny at the auction house. Because the island is fairly quiet, these items are often more limited, meaning you’ll hardly ever get any competition while farming. 20,000 to 30,000 are the figures you could be making in this location with regard to the sales you could make at the auction house.

Wintergrasp

During the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is when this location was added, and there is a level 67-80 requirement to get anywhere near the Wintergasp zone. Titanium Ore and Saronite Ore are here in the masses, ready for players to mine and sell on the auction house. Although that’s all well and good, the profitable side comes in the form of reagents Eternal Shadows, Eternal Air, Eternal Fire, Eternal Water, and Eternal earth. Players can use these WoW Boosting alongside reagents to create a wealth of highly sought after items, meaning huge profits when sold at the auction house.

Iron Docks Dungeon

Last on our list is a location with a level 92 to 100 requirement, located in the Dungeon of Northern Gorground. Fast and profitable gold farming is waiting to be had here, either by completing an entire dungeon run if time is on your side, or by killing trash mobs until the first boss.

Take as many mobs out as possible from the first room, which will take around two and a half minutes, then leave the dungeon to reset it before returning. You can expect to make around 2000 to 2500 for a quick run.

We hope you’ve found our WoW gold farming guide helpful, drop us a line if you know of any farming locations that should have made the list!
