Star Racer will challenge players to be the first – or only – racer to cross the finish line. Engage in electrifying battles on the intergalactic racetrack where every turn is an opportunity to outsmart the opposition. Smash through vehicles with a circling ground attack, or take the fight to new heights with gripping aerial assaults! Rivals aren’t the only threat though, as racers must navigate through icy patches, enemy turrets, and bombastic mines. Surviving long enough to reach the finish line will take strategy, skill, and a whole lot of guts.
Star Racer features a comprehensive track editor allowing racers to challenge one another with custom circuits. Manipulate every single aspect of a track in order to create dynamic circuits from scratch. Lay out the foundation by precisely crafting the height and width of the roads, as well as the angles of nail-biting turns. Once the basics are down, explore the hazards library and spill a bit of danger onto the concrete. The only limitation is imagination. There is nothing stopping a player from creating a bouncy halfpipe highway riddled with landmines and sizzling lava pits.
Star Racer wholeheartedly invokes the sensation found in retro classics through its visuals and music. Soar through intergalactic speedways in an awe-striking HD-2D aesthetic. Legendary composer Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie, GoldenEye 007) lends his shredding licks and celestial rhythms on a number of featured tracks. Kirkhope’s signature style enhances the retro vibes with an electrifying fusion of melodies.
