It has been a rough year for Xbox. Exclusive games are extremely scarce. Gamers did get Redfall not too long ago, but unfortunately, that was a very undercooked game to say the least and Xbox fans are losing faith. This showcase is supposedly supposed to be the beacon of light to show what Microsoft/Xbox has up their sleeve. Will we see some release dates for games we know are on the horizon? What will 2024 look like? There has been some teases (and unfortunate leaks) but the showcase is finally here and lets break it all down and see what we got.

After the showcase ended, we immediately go into the Starfield Direct. Join Game Director Todd Howard and the Starfield development team as they dive deep into the first new universe from Bethesda Game Studios in over 25 years.
So, we got 24 Games revealed and 11 of them to be exclusives. Xbox was very adamant to show that all these games will be available on GamePass on release. As far as exclusives go, the ones revealed by Compulsion Games and InExile Entertainment (South of Midnight and Clockwork Revolution) were the biggest standouts for me. I’m a big fan of those studios and I’ve been curious what they’ve been cooking up. No dates or release windows really given for these, so I imagine it’ll be quite a while when we see anything more from these titles, but still very cool none-the-less. 2024 does indeed look a bit brighter for Xbox with games like Fable, Avowed, and Hellblade II in the not-too-distant future. Hopefully they can stick the landing and keep them on schedule and in a solid playable state and fans should feel appeased. All-in-all, the showcase was pretty good. For people super stoked on Starfield, we learned a lot more and had many of our burning questions answered. There was enough here, that Xbox still looks like they’re in the game to compete.
