Albion Online to Release Foundations Update on April 15

The next big game update, Foundations, for Sandbox Interactive’s fantasy sandbox MMORPG Albion Online, was announced today.

When Foundations launches on April 15, it will have a few new elements that should make warfare in Albion more interesting.

• Fortifications are brand-new, scalable territory defenses for guilds
• Siege Banners – Guilds occupying territory gain from siege banners, but defenders have an additional tool to repel an assault.
• Territory Activity Chests – Guilds that are active inside their borders are rewarded with chests, which also serve as an enticing inducement for potential invaders.
• New Crystal Weapons are coming, with potent, distinct spells
• The eagerly awaited Spectator Mode enables creators to organize and broadcast their own Arena competitions.
