The next big game update, Foundations, for Sandbox Interactive’s fantasy sandbox MMORPG Albion Online, was announced today.
When Foundations launches on April 15, it will have a few new elements that should make warfare in Albion more interesting.
- Fortifications are brand-new, scalable territory defenses for guilds
- Siege Banners – Guilds occupying territory gain from siege banners, but defenders have an additional tool to repel an assault.
- Territory Activity Chests – Guilds that are active inside their borders are rewarded with chests, which also serve as an enticing inducement for potential invaders.
- New Crystal Weapons are coming, with potent, distinct spells
- The eagerly awaited Spectator Mode enables creators to organize and broadcast their own Arena competitions.
