BLOODY RALLY SHOW Review for PlayStation 4

The game, Bloody Rally Show, by developer Kodo Linija and publisher Digerati, released on the Playstation 4 in Novembe, 2021. This game is a racing game where you can run the audience over, as well as take out your competition by crashing into them or even shooting them down. Racing games are usually a fan favorite for most people. While I was playing this game, however, it wasn’t really that interesting to me. However, there are still many things about Bloody Rally Show that make it unique in its own way.

Bloody Rally Show Gameplay

The gameplay for Bloody Rally Show has a similar concept as any other racing game. The player has to be the first to cross the finish line. During certain races, players can kill each other to get ahead using a random weapon loadout. The choices dim from guns, protection from weapons, and even saw blades in the front of the car. Ultimately to me, this wasn’t as fun. What I will give credit to, however, is that the driving, I imagine, seems to be more realistic for a racing game in terms of the physics. One example of this is drifting. In most racing games (one example being Mario Kart), there is a designated input for drifting in the game. In Bloody Rally Show, it’s different. Instead of having that input, players have to utilize the breaks and acceleration to drift. Once the player is in a drift, they then have to control their speed. If they go too fast, they drift off the course. If they go too slow, they slow down rather than getting past their opponents.

The tracks themselves in the game are more or less very similar to each other. There are sharp turns along with not so sharp turns. There are sometimes ramps the player can use to jump along with many other obstacles in your path. Sometimes there may even be a helicopter shooting the players down. Of course, there are not only normal races. There is a campaign the players can play as well. The campaign plays similar to a normal grand prix. The catch, however, is that the better you do in the races, the more cash you get to upgrade/buy your vehicles until the player eventually reaches $500,000, which means they beat the campaign. During certain races, there will be special objectives that the player has to meet during the race. If they complete the objective, then the player gets rewarded. If they fail to complete the objective, then the player will be punished instead. As said before, once the player finally gains $500,000, they beat the campaign.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the game, Bloody Rally Show, is a well made, polished game. The game mechanics make sense and feel polished for what they are. The game looks graphically good. The only issue I have with it is that it just wasn’t all that fun to me. Playing through the campaign did not seem fun to me. However, if anything I described about this game are all things that you like to see in a racing game, then you should try the game out.
