Rockstar Games has released the second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer! This is a fresh look at Grand Theft Auto 6 in almost a year and a half, and it confirms Rockstar’s intention to release its ambitious, open-world crime adventure in 2026.
GTAVI, the first new GTA game in over ten years, is expected to be well received because its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto 5, has sold over 200 million copies since its 2013 release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In Vice City, in the made-up state of Leonida, where dual protagonists Jason and Lucia are searching for a better life, the sixth mainline game in Rockstar’s 27-year-old franchise returns the action.
Check out the Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer #2:
This second trailer takes place in the current day, and opens with Jason getting into his car to pick up Lucia from prison, offers us an idea of what that life would entail. It’s unclear from the trailer’s next set of images whether Jason and Lucia’s criminal activities took place before or after Lucia’s incarceration; perhaps she immediately returned to her criminal ways after her release? We can presume that there will be some crimes to do because this is a Grand Theft Auto game!
