Nintendo today revealed a massive lineup of games from publishing and development partners that will be available for the Nintendo Switch family of consoles through Holiday 2024 and beyond. This was the first time Nintendo had ever held back-to-back Indie World Showcase and Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase presentations.
The fast-paced 2D platforming adventure Pizza Tower will launch later today, along with a free update for Balatro: Friends of Jimbo, a deck-building game with a poker theme. Additionally, Coffee Talk Tokyo, a new Coffee Talk installment, will be available for the Nintendo Switch in 2025. These announcements and updates kicked off the Indie World Showcase.
After this presentation, there was a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, which featured a number of exciting announcements, including the release of the highly anticipated action-adventure game Yakuza Kiwami on the Nintendo Switch (October 24); Tetris Forever, a 2024 game that celebrates the iconic Tetris series; Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer, a full-body workout game that launches on December 5; a new collection of games from the charming life sim series in MySims: Cozy Bundle, which launches on November 19; the latest opportunity to rewrite history in Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, a Nintendo Switch game that releases on February 11, 2025, and much more!
Updates on games like the legendary fantasy role-playing game DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake and the squad-based arena action game Star Wars: Hunters were also included in the dual display. Aside from numerous additional announcements, viewers were also treated to previews of the Disney Dreamlight Valley “End of Summer” in-game mini-event.

Indie World Showcase Games:
- Pizza Tower: It’s all about moving, exploring, and getting high scores in the hectic platforming adventure Pizza Tower—plus pizza, of course. Peppino Spaghetti is on a quest to demolish the Pizza Tower in order to prevent the destruction of his restaurant. Charge swiftly through the bizarre floors of the tower, eliminating opponents in your path, and changing into and out of a variety of obstacles. Later today, Pizza Tower is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Join Peppino on his rampage and enjoy the highly stylized 2D pixel graphic style evocative of 90s cartoons.
- Balatro: Friends of Jimbo: Players will be able to employ cards inspired by four well-known video games, play even more illegal poker hands, find game-changing jokers, and create heart-pounding, absurd combos in this free upgrade to the critically acclaimed roguelike deckbuilder Balatro. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, Vampire Survivors, DAVE THE DIVER, and Among Us are among the cards included in the update; each has unique artwork inspired by the corresponding game. Later today, Balatro: Friends of Jimbo will be available on the Nintendo Switch.
- Coffee Talk Tokyo: The following book in the critically acclaimed Coffee Talk series is the graphic novel Coffee Talk Tokyo. In Tokyo’s late-night coffee shop, players assume the role of a barista serving clients who, despite their supernatural appearance, have very real issues. Set to the calming soundtrack of unique lo-fi music composed by series composer Andrew Jeremy, hear the tales of new patrons, offer them consoling drinks, and lend a sympathetic ear. In 2025, Coffee Talk Tokyo will be available for the Nintendo Switch.
- PowerWash Simulator – Shrek Special Pack DLC: In this brand-new, paid DLC, remove the filth from five fairy tale maps from the Shrek universe, including Shrek’s own swamp and the Dragon’s Lair. Put on a flashy suit of armor with a brand-new character model with a knight motif, take on a mini-campaign by yourself or with a friend in online cooperative play, or gather up to six players for cleaning duty in free play. Fall of 2024 sees the release of the PowerWash Simulator – Shrek Special Pack DLC for the Nintendo Switch.
- Peglin: You are an RPG player on a mission to exact revenge on some gold-stealing dragons in this roguelike game inspired by pachinko. In turn-based combat, strike pegs and aim orbs to deal damage. As you go, gather and enhance a wide range of orbs, each with unique abilities. A variety of game-changing effects can also be added by uncommon passive power-ups known as relics, and the pegs themselves may possess strange qualities. With careful aim and a combination of orbs, pegs, and relics, you can create some amazing combos! Every run will take you through a new map, and harsher difficulty settings can be unlocked by finishing runs successfully. Later today, Peglin will have a timed console exclusive debut on the Nintendo Switch, so be sure to teach those dragons a lesson.
- Morsels: Play as a mouse in this gritty but amusing top-down action-roguelike game, where you must battle the evil powers of predatory cats. You encounter a sentient Fatberg deep under the perilous upper realms, and with the aid of certain mystical cards, he enables you to change into powerful tiny monsters known as Morsels. With your newly acquired abilities, set out for the top realms. As you travel, gather additional Morsels and deliberately change into them to utilize their special skills. Launched on the Nintendo Switch in February 2025, Morsels pits players against the evil forces of cats.
- Wobbly Life: Nearly everything is interactive in Wobbly Life, an energetic open-world physics sandbox game. Grandma has made you leave her house and insisted that you find employment. Decisions can lead not only to affection but also to friendship or even contempt. for October 24, Date Everything! will launch for the Nintendo Switch.
- Neva: Neva is an emotionally charged action adventure from the team behind the highly acclaimed GRIS. It tells the tale of Alba, a young lady who, after a tragic encounter with dark powers, is bonded to an inquisitive newborn wolf pup named Neva. As the once-beautiful world around them crumbles, they set out on a treacherous journey together. Neva will initially need Alba’s care, but as their adventure goes on, a bigger and fiercer Neva will take over the role of guardian angel to her mother. On October 15, Neva, a moving tale of mother-child connections, will launch on the Nintendo Switch system.
- Sea of Stars – Throes of the Watchmaker DLC: In this complimentary DLC for the well praised and multiple award-winning role-playing game Sea of Stars, explore a tiny clockwork universe. Prepare yourself for an adventure filled with surprises and oddities where Valere and Zale will need to follow new guidelines in order to halt a haunted carnival. Valere will dazzle as an acrobat, while Zale will change into a talented juggler. In their quest to save the world of Horloge, they’ll discover new locales, navigate new dungeons, and come across new foes, bosses, and puzzles with the help of the recently added playable character Arty. Along with supporting the upcoming local co-op mode, the DLC will let gamers go on adventures as a party of up to two people. When Sea of Stars – Throes of the Watchmaker DLC arrives on the Nintendo Switch in the spring of 2025, players may expect a menacing spectacle.
- Moth Kubit: In this bizarre role-playing game, you’ll assume the position of Moth Kubit, an average employee who just received a promotion, and work your way up the corporate ladder of an insect giant business. Take caution, though, as there are many secrets and a dark event called the “Final Process” that could occur. You’ll encounter bugs from different walks of life as you explore; some you may befriend, while others you’ll have to take out verbally in dialogue-choice battles. Keep a look out for the various endings and the many secrets this strange planet has to reveal. Your decisions will have an impact on how the story develops. In spring 2025, Moth Kubit will launch for the Nintendo Switch.
- PICO PARK 2: In this follow-up to the action-puzzle platformer PICO PARK, collaboration is essential. Through local play or online multiplayer**, two to eight players can cooperate to move through more than 60 new levels chock-full of ledges, cliffs, and other obstacles. No matter how many players are on your side, you can still finish each one, but getting to the exit will need careful planning and well-coordinated action. With even more difficulties waiting in the brand-new DARK Mode, where your abilities – and friendships – will be pushed to the ultimate test, the WORLD, ENDLESS, and BATTLE modes are returning. - Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX, a revised version of the iconic action platformer, scheduled for release in 2025, will include 20 playable characters, seamless online multiplayer, and more features.
- On Your Tail, a narrative-driven, investigative life simulation that launches on November 21 and pits daring young investigator Diana against a threatening burglar in a quaint beach town.
- Cuisineer, a fun and appetizing roguelite game that will premiere on January 28, 2025, mixing elements of fast-paced restaurant management with delicious dungeon delving.
- Metal Slug Tactics, launching in fall 2024, this dynamic role-playing game (RPG) combines classic arcade action with roguelite tactical delights to bring you the explosive charm of the METAL SLUG series in a whole new way.
- Europa, a 3D action-platformer that releases on October 11 and allows players to glide, fly, and boost across breathtaking vistas. There’s a free demo out right now.
Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase Games:
- MySims: Cozy Bundle: This new compilation brings together two of the most popular MySims games. Make new friends, go on imaginative adventures, and personalize your community in MySims and MySims Kingdom. These games blend captivating story elements with a pleasant imitation of life. MySims: Cozy Bundle, a Nintendo Switch exclusive, will be available for pre-order on Nintendo eShop later today, with delivery on November 19!
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VII: Relive history or write your own narrative. The venerable strategy game franchise is back, giving players the chance to build magnificent structures and enlarge their realms globally. And Himiko, the leader of Japan in the third century, will be featured in the narrative you construct this time. Will your monuments become dusty ruins or will they withstand the test of time? Everything is up to you. for February 11, 2025, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will launch for the Nintendo Switch (pre-orders are now being accepted).
- Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer: Boost your exercise regimen with a personal trainer of your own. Use exercises like mitt drills and a quick workout to train at your own pace. Even alternatives for sitting training exist! for December 5, Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer will be available for Nintendo Switch.
- Goat Simulator 3: In this entertaining sandbox game, take control of more goats than you ever imagined. It’s up to you and your goat to finish tasks and challenges or just wreck havoc. Use the local split screen and internet multiplayer features to invite friends to play as well! Later today, Goat Simulator 3 will be accessible on the Nintendo eShop; in November, hard copies will be sold at stores.
- SpongeBob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game: Patrick Star finally takes the lead in his own game! SpongeBob Squarepants is an open world playground that allows you to access every area of Bikini Bottom: In the Patrick Star Game, you can go treasure hunting, vent your fury in Mrs. Puff’s Rage Room, and be drawn into challenges and adventures by SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy Cheeks. Squarepants SpongeBob: On October 4, the Patrick Star Game will be accessible. Preorders go live on the Nintendo eShop later today!
- Capcom Fighting Collection 2: Let’s take this seriously! - DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake: DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake transports you to the start of the Erdrick Trilogy with its breathtaking graphic reinterpretation of the classic role-playing game. Exciting new features in this updated version include the ability to modify character appearances, access to exclusive content not seen in the original game, and the addition of a brand-new profession called “Monster Wrangler”! In this turn-based adventure, explore a vast globe full with towns, dungeons, and caves while fighting mythical creatures to survive. - Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, This September 24, a faithful recreation of the colorful 3D platformer with Mickey Mouse will be released. A demo can be found on the Nintendo eShop right now.
- FUNKO FUSION, an opportunity to unite all of your favorite pop culture figures in a single, expansive, dynamic playground inspired by famous places and scenes, opening for the holidays in 2024.
- Just Dance 2025 Edition, when there are fresh tunes, fresh moves, and no more justifications for not hitting the dance floor—it’s time to start this party. debuting on October 15.
