UNTURNED Review for PlayStation 4

If you are a big fan of the Minecraft survival type of game, then Unturned is one of the best choices. The early version of Unturned was finished by a single person named Nelson Sexton on 2014. After the development of all these years, Unturned, by developers Smartly Dressed Games and Fun Labs, and publisher 505 Games, has established a very complete game system and play method. Appealing more than tens of millions of players to join in, and carry out countless exciting second creations in Unturned. Now this game published both of PS4 and XBOX versions, which will be another carnival for fans.  

The play method of Unturned is very fascinating. First, under the right corner, we can find 6 different status bars; they are health, hunger, thirst, radiation, strength, and oxygen. Almost all of the essential elements of a survival game. The background of this game places you in a world full of zombies, you start within an abandoned city, and you have to collect whatever you can use to survive from the desperate city. There are too many factors that can put you into death, except the threat of zombies, frozen, fallen, drown, starving, etc. In this world, you can fully experience the tension and pressure of living in the doomsday. 

On the contrary, the good news is players in this world have many different types of abilities to ensure their survival. You can collect XP in the world and level up, then you will unlock three different directions to enforce your ability. Strength, defense, and support, with the enrich of your skill set, you will have more fun not only just survival in this game, but also played your own game style. Also, Unturned has a complete building list just similar to Minecraft; you can create almost whatever you want by the stuff you collect from the map. Although the game looks very simple, some of the settings are still complex enough. You can add many accessories to your guns to improve their performance, even the scopes have several different magnifications to choose from. At the same time, the large number of vehicles in the game is also a highlight. You can even drive submarines and helicopters in the world. 

The PC version of Unturned is very successful, now what we are concerned the most is how does it perform on PS4? Does it perfectly fit for the controlling system? I have to say that the UI design is perfect, you can obtain every information really quickly and straight forward.  But there are many aspects that need to be optimized. First is the craft part, in the PS4 version, you cannot build multiple times with one click. This problem is really annoying sometimes. The other big problem is the community – the player community for Unturned on PC is fully well developed. There are so many interesting modes and map based on the Unturned. For now, although the PS4 version has some servers online, you can play with your friends, try to survival together, or have to combat with online players in order to experience a more exciting doomsday life.

Unturned is a game worth trying, and has a high achievement in the past few years. I believe with the development of the PS4 version, we will eventually experience the complete version of Unturned and find out the unique charm of this game.
