TT ISLE OF MAN – Ride on the Edge 2 Review for Nintendo Switch

TT ISLE OF MAN – Ride on the Edge 2, developed by Kyolotonn and published by Nacon, has been released on Switch. A successor to its first game with same name, TT: Isle of Man.

TT ISLE OF MAN – Ride on the Edge 2 brings back one of the challenging motorbike racing with the iconic TT: Isle of Man courses. The game is an amazing addition and with one of the most realistic gameplays and a uses a lot of licensed franchise. We tried playing the game on Switch and have failed horribly multiple times just trying to complete a level. A lot of times, with little bit extra force on the accelerator using the trigger on Switch, the front wheel jumps up. There is a 99 percent chance that players are going to fall multiple times during a single lap.

There is free roam mode added that lets you travel through some amazing tracks/courses that are based on some real tracks throughout the world. In addition, there is career mode that lets you go through a lot of different tracks, from narrow paths to wide turns and taking you through sharper turns as well. Without balancing speed and posture, a player will not be able to win a race at all. Also, unfortunately, no rewinds are made available like a lot of other racing games, which kind of makes TT ISLE OF MAN – Ride on the Edge 2 a lot more difficult.

Kyolotonn has done a great job designing a sequel that is worthy of its successor but feels sometimes kind of downgraded for Switch overall. Downgrading the graphics feels like a lot pixilation and losing a lot of details that feels weird while taking a ride. Also the way the trigger and joystick of  the Switch makes it a lot harder to control the transmission and breaking. A lot of times players get lost looking ahead of the road and suddenly you see that your bike has crashed already. Also, because of the display on Switch, it is way harder to do the races and control the bike.

Overall, the game is really amazing for the Motorbike enthusiasts or the people who want to try out some realistic racing, but because of the Nintendo Switch port, it loses a lot of details and triggers causing problems making it very frustrating for a lot of players. I would rate TT ISLE OF MAN – Ride on the Edge 2 7/10 stars.
