Space Hulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition Review for PlayStation 4

Space Hulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition is brought to console now, after PC, and is developed by Streum On Studio, and published by Focus Home Interactive. The game, as already explained in the title, is enhanced for the PS4 and includes all the content from the original.

Space Hulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition is set in same world as in Warhammer 40,000. The game is similar in terms of the strategic games where you control the character and the team with you, but in first person mode, where the player can order the team around as well as team can fight alongside the player. The game has easy mechanics. Previous Warhammer games I played were all strategic ones, so I didn’t know what to expect from this game.

The player has options to choose the Space Hulk suits, and has two different weapons — one is a gun and other is a sword, plus the powers available. It is fun while going through the game initially as you destroy the doors and hack the gates and keep killing the mobs horde, just feel like zombie horde. Space Hulk has pretty much most of the badass suits and have amazing weapons the players can utilize to fight the mobs. The ships are dark and there are churches available in there.

The levels are designed repetitively though, as you can keep seeing the same structures over and over and fighting the same horde over and over, Not seeing the end of the those was exhausting. The ships are pretty much dark corridors and then comes endless walk from one objective to the other which is kind of tiresome, as you are walking in those suits.

Not to forget the FPS drops that greatly affect the gameplay experience and crashes, which after restarting the game the player has to go through the hordes of zombies again. They kept freezing in between when FPS goes down really low. The story might have been interesting but the long exhausting combat and exploring the level makes you forget everything.

Overall I would say the game was a let down, because of tiresome level design with endless walking in dark corridors and fighting repetitive hordes of mobs. I would give this game 5 stars out of 10.
