Wild Card Football is an arcade card based football game developed by Saber Interactive. There are some good football games out there, but I think Wild Card Football brings the unique twist of adding special power-ups and bringing a more arcade flavor to the sports based game.
The gameplay of Wild Card Football is a 7 vs 7 with inclusion of cards, which can make or break the game for the player. Cards are similar to any other card based game, which allows the player to use cards at the start of a turn and in turn allows the player to apply different special effects. But most of the gameplay is very much similar to the normal football game.
Using Wildcards is fun, as they bring additional complexity to the Football game, where players can literally buff their team or debuff the opposing team, which can make or break the game. It all depends on the individual player’s choices of card which can be earned from the loot boxes and gaining experience.
On top of gaining cards, players can also get to choose different team members and create their own ultimate team, and offer an amazing amount of choices. And based on the cards and the team of choice, players can achieve great things. Though not to say that cards are the only thing that differentiate the overall gameplay, as the game itself has its own difficulty that is very fair. The funny animated graphics bring a different fun and cheerful addition which is very welcoming for all sorts of players.
Players can also play online and crossplay matches are also available between different platforms. Overall, I would say Wild Card Football is an amazing arcade sports game that brings a very unique twists to the sports game. I would rate the game 8 out of 10, hoping they would add some fun modes to play in the future.
